The Company

Our client is a leading company located in Dubai, UAE.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the day to day bookkeeping and handle the month-end close processes and time-table
  • Oversee accounting tasks handled by Central Accounting team to ensure accuracy of local books
  • Liaise on day to day basis with the central teams to ensure all reporting deadlines are met
  • Oversee and review the reconciliation of all relevant ledger accounts in order to ensure all accruals and adjustment entries have been passed correctly
  • Manage the accuracy of the accounts payable and receivables in order to make timely collections and payments
  • Support Senior Finance Analyst in preparation of forecasts, budgets, and ad hoc activities
  • Upload the monthly packs for financial reporting, forecast and budget into Enterprise Performance Measurement (EPM) and SAP
  • Prepare and analyze regular financial reports, in particular monthly variance analysis report and state of accruals
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly review packs for MENA
  • Provide valuable commentary on KPI’s and variance analysis
  • Support Senior Finance Analyst for Emerging Business in monthly reporting and forecasting for the EMB region, and in the development of Long Range Plan (LRP) for the business
  • Key local contact person to auditors and support in the preparation of financial annual statements, preparation of management commentary, accrual schedules and monitoring and reviewing of key deliverables such as transfer pricing and tax calculations (if any)
  • Support the business by involvement in ad-hoc projects as and when required

 

Skills & Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA/CIMA)
  • Ideally for somebody at the early stages of their career
  • Solid understanding of SAP/EPM/BPC
  • High proficiency in Microsoft excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Good understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act.
  • Able to handle pressure within a changing and fast paced environment
  • Excellent prioritization skills, ability to work across different cross functional teams
  • Good work ethic and a dedication to the highest work quality and job excellence
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
